Managed IT support for businesses in Orlando and Central Florida
Managed IT support means one flat monthly agreement covers the day-to-day care of your computers, accounts, security and network. We work with businesses only, typically 5 to 100 users, and we already know the network and cameras underneath because designing them is our core work.
- Businesses only, 5 to 100 users
- MCSA and MCSE certified team
- Same team as your network design
- More than 25 years in IT

Managed IT is for businesses only
Our managed IT plans are for businesses, not home users. If you run a home office as a registered business with employees or contractors, we are happy to talk. For personal devices, we are not the right fit.
Who is managed IT support for?
Managed IT support fits small and mid-size businesses, usually 5 to 100 users, that depend on computers every day but do not have a full-time IT person.
Typical clients in Orlando and Central Florida include professional offices, medical and dental practices, contractors, restaurants with back-office staff, property managers and multi-location retail. Some have an office manager who has been the accidental IT person for years. Others have an internal IT staffer who wants backup for security, projects and after-hours issues. We work with both.
The common thread is that downtime costs money. When email stops, a laptop gets infected or a new hire waits two days for a login, work stops with it. Managed IT turns those surprises into planned, documented work.
What is included in managed IT support?
Our managed IT plans cover the ongoing work that keeps people productive and data safe, for a flat monthly fee per user or device.
Help desk
Remote support for everyday issues: logins, email, printers, slow computers and software problems, with on-site visits in Central Florida when remote is not enough.
Device management
Every computer inventoried, configured to a standard and tracked so you know what you own, who has it and how old it is.
Patching and updates
Windows, macOS and common applications kept current on a schedule, with firmware updates on network gear.
Security
Multi-factor authentication (MFA), endpoint detection and response (EDR) or managed antivirus, email filtering and admin account hygiene.
Backups and recovery testing
Backups for key computers, servers and Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace data, with restores actually tested, not just assumed.
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace admin
Users, licenses, shared mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint, Drive and security settings managed for you.
Network and WiFi monitoring
Firewall, switches, access points and internet connections watched for outages and problems.
Vendor management
We deal with your internet provider, phone vendor, printer company and line-of-business software support so you do not have to.
Onboarding and offboarding
New hires get accounts and a ready computer on day one. Departing staff lose access the same day.
Documentation and planning
Passwords stored securely, network diagrams kept current, and regular reviews to plan replacements and budget ahead.
What is not included in a managed IT plan?
Project work is quoted separately, so the monthly plan stays predictable and you approve larger work before it starts.
New hardware and software licenses
Computers, servers, network gear and subscriptions are purchased separately. We help you choose and set them up.
Office moves and expansions
New cabling, WiFi, cameras or access control for a new or larger space.
Major migrations
Moving email to Microsoft 365, replacing a server, or switching platforms.
Custom software and automations
Handled as a separate project through our software and automation service.
Personal devices and home users
Managed IT covers business devices and business accounts only.
Personal devices and home users
Managed IT covers business devices and business accounts only.
Hardware repair parts
Replacement drives, screens or power supplies are quoted separately or handled through the manufacturer's support. We do the diagnosis and coordinate the repair.
Is managed IT better than break-fix IT support?
For most businesses with five or more users, managed IT costs less over time than break-fix because it prevents problems instead of billing for them after they happen.
| Managed IT (flat monthly) | Break-fix (hourly) | |
|---|---|---|
| How you pay | Predictable monthly fee | Per hour or per visit, when something breaks |
| Focus | Prevention: patching, monitoring, backups | Repair after the problem |
| Security | MFA, EDR, updates maintained continuously | Usually only when you ask |
| Knowledge of your setup | Documented and kept current | Rebuilt on each call |
| Planning | Regular reviews and replacement planning | None |
| Incentive | Fewer problems means less work for both sides | More problems means more billable hours |
| Best fit | Businesses that rely on IT every day | Very small setups with rare issues |
What happens in the first 30 days of managed IT?
The first 30 days are about learning your environment, closing the biggest risks and documenting everything.
Discovery and inventory
We collect every computer, account, license, network device and vendor, and gather admin credentials into a secure password vault in your company's name.
Agents and monitoring
Management and security agents are installed on each computer, and monitoring is set up on the firewall, switches and access points.
Close the urgent gaps
MFA turned on for email and admin accounts, missing patches applied, unsupported antivirus replaced and old accounts disabled.
Backups verified
We confirm what is backed up, set up what is missing, and run a test restore so you know recovery works.
Documentation
Network diagram, device list, vendor contacts and key procedures written down and shared with you.
Review meeting
We walk you through what we found, what we fixed, and a short list of recommendations in priority order.
What security baseline do we set up?
Every managed client gets the same security baseline, because most breaches at small businesses start with the same few gaps.
- MFA on email, cloud apps and remote access
- EDR or managed antivirus on every computer
- Automatic patching for operating systems and common apps
- Separate admin accounts, no daily use of admin logins
- Email filtering for phishing and malicious attachments
- Backups with offsite copies and tested restores
- Firewall with current firmware and no open admin ports
- Staff, guest and device networks separated with VLANs
- Same-day account removal when someone leaves
Why use the same team for IT, network and cameras?
When one team designed your network, WiFi and cameras and also supports your computers, there is no finger-pointing between vendors when something breaks.
A common story: the camera company blames the network, the internet provider blames the router, and the IT person says it is not their equipment. With LocalTechify, the same people who labeled your patch panel and planned your VLANs are the ones answering the help desk call. The network diagram is ours, the documentation is current, and the fix is faster because nobody has to learn your building from scratch.
It also helps with planning. When you add a camera, open a second location or move offices, the same team sizes the switches, cabling, WiFi and user accounts together, so the IT side is ready the day the doors open.
Can managed IT work alongside our internal IT person?
Yes, co-managed IT is a good fit when you have an internal IT person who needs backup, tools or help with projects.
In a co-managed setup, your staff member keeps handling daily requests and knows the people and the business. We add monitoring, patching, security tools, backups, after-hours coverage and a second set of eyes on bigger decisions. Responsibilities are written down, both sides use the same documentation, and nothing falls through the gap between two teams.
Is support remote or on-site?
Most issues are solved remotely, and we come on-site in Orlando and Central Florida when the problem needs hands on equipment.
Remote support resolves most everyday requests quickly without anyone driving across town. On-site visits in Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Lake counties cover hardware failures, network equipment, new workstation setups and anything that needs a person in the room. Response targets and support hours are written into your agreement before you sign.
Florida adds its own list: surge damage after lightning, equipment that needs a clean shutdown before a hurricane, and a check that the firewall, switches and servers come back up correctly when power returns. We plan for those with UPS units, surge protection and a written storm checklist for your office.
What affects the cost of managed IT support?
Managed IT is usually priced by the number of users or devices, plus the security and backup tools your business needs.
Other factors include the number of locations, servers you run on site, compliance needs like HIPAA or PCI, and how much of your environment needs cleanup at the start. The free assessment ends with a written proposal that lists exactly what is included and what would be quoted as a project.
There are no surprise line items. If something falls outside the plan, we tell you before doing the work and give you a written quote to approve.

Managed IT support: common questions
Industries we serve: Offices, Retail and restaurants, HOAs, property managers and rentals
Do you provide IT support for home users?
No. Our managed IT plans are for businesses only, usually with 5 to 100 users. A registered business run from a home office can qualify; personal devices do not.
What does managed IT support include?
It includes help desk, device management, patching, security like MFA and EDR, backups with tested restores, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration, network monitoring, vendor management, onboarding and offboarding, documentation and planning. Project work is quoted separately.
What is not included in the monthly plan?
New hardware and licenses, office moves, major migrations, new cabling or camera installs, and custom software are quoted as separate projects. You approve each project and its price before work starts.
Is managed IT better than paying hourly?
For businesses that rely on computers every day, usually yes. A flat monthly plan pays for prevention like patching, monitoring and backups, while hourly break-fix only pays for repairs after something has already gone wrong.
Can you work alongside our internal IT person?
Yes. We can cover security, monitoring, backups and after-hours help while your internal staff handles daily requests, or take on whatever split makes sense. Everything is documented so both sides see the same information.
Do you manage Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?
Yes. We manage users, licenses, mailboxes, shared drives, Teams or Google groups, and security settings such as MFA and sign-in policies. We also back up that data, since the built-in retention is not a full backup.
How do you protect us from ransomware?
We layer MFA, EDR or managed antivirus, patching, email filtering and limited admin rights to reduce the chance of an attack. Backups with offsite copies and tested restores make recovery possible if something gets through.
What happens during onboarding?
In the first 30 days we inventory every device and account, install monitoring and security agents, fix urgent gaps like missing MFA, verify backups with a test restore, document your environment and review the findings with you.
Do you help with HIPAA or PCI requirements?
We set up the technical controls these frameworks expect, like MFA, encryption, backups, access logs and separate networks for payment devices. We do not provide legal compliance certification, so your compliance advisor still signs off.
